This route begins with a visit to the Museum of the Fisherman - the result of a private initiative from a Nazarene, lover of the traditions of his land. This house-museum dedicated to the fisherman of Nazaré was inaugurated on 11 December 1999.
Recovered and restored by Manuel Águeda Limpinho, represents the interior and exterior of a typical house of a family linked to the fisherman and the fish trade in the decades from 1930 to 1950. Besides the household items and furniture, it can also be seen and admired, the art of fishing, the gear and some Nazarenes miniature vessels of the time. We continue by walking to the beach, discovering the ancient streets of the town of Nazaré, where you can still see the fishermen dressed in checker shirts and black pants, and their wives wearing the tradition seven skirts, mending fishing nets or drying fish on the beach. This route is a fantastic experience facing the sea and the life of the fisherman. In this unique experience, you can feel the emotions of the fisherman chores, from preparation to finish, and then we´ll sail to the sea on board of a boat specially prepared for this experience.
